I'm so sorry to hear that Mia. It's never easy to lose a cute little baby like that.

I lost my Herman's, named Gigantor a year ago in November, it was a very sad day for me. And on the topic of sad, One of my fur babies ?, experienced a stroke or possible brain tumor yesterday. Rushed him to the vet.....was on the verge of euthanasia, but held off. Now giving him antibiotics, steroids & pain med's. Made it through the night peacefully ? .
It's hard having non human kid's, many have shorter life spans than us . . just plain tough!
It's amazing how they worm their way into our hearts....?
I'm so sorry about your dog, I hope he recovers quickly.
Yes, its very upsetting. I thought that getting a tortoise would mean it would outlive me, haha! But obviously that won't always be the case with animals like them that require a lot of care.

Mia, thank you for the kind thought's . . .
Well with the Gabapentin, Clavamox, Prednisolone, & Enrofloxacin, a good meal & good night sleep, he was actually able to get up and stand, shaky standing, but standing none the less. And to think I was ? that close to putting him down. Dr. called today, to say for Woodie's age 11/12 'ish his blood work was remarkable, kidney's & Liver values were good. She was glad to hear the the tremor's had subsided. Funny, the Dr had asked me if he had possibly got into some Pot, and it was NO WAY!. Apparently the symptoms are similar to a Pot OD. Huh!
Specialist will be looking at x-rays tomorrow for any tumor's, I'm ? crossing my fingers that he keeps improving...

Thank you Lyn, he's doing much better today, actually moving under his own power, and not as shaky as he was.
It's Night and day compared to Saturday afternoon. I just thank God....

Thanks again for all the advice everyone has given me. Sadly, Newton passed away this morning in his sleep. I think he exhausted himself the day before trying to pass the stone. At least he isn't in pain anymore.

If I get another tortoise in the future I will make sure I do all my research properly and ask people who know what they are talking about, like you guys, if I'm having any problems. I'll also make sure to follow the care sheet you have given me. Thank you so much everyone, I really do appreciate the help you have given.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. It can be a bit surprising how quickly these little reptiles can capture our hearts. Be gentle with yourself and know that I am holding you close to my heart.
