my 3 month old sulcata, Arbiter, has been sleeping extensively! he only comes out to eat but he moves pretty slow. he used to roam all over his tank, I put in new decorations, and I even rearranged everything to keep him from being bored. it all started after I took him outside a couple of weeks ago. its like he lost all his energy.

Can you post a picture of his enclosure and give us the temps inside?

Left is at 70-75. Right side is at 95-100. Varies through out the day because of the temperature in my room.

Do you run a high humidity enclosure?

Right side is at 95-100.

Is this the basking "spot" temp or do you mean half of the tank is this hot?

Varies through out the day because of the temperature in my room.

This can be a problem, if the temps fluctuate that much and there are no tools in the enclosure for the tortoise to use to self regulate then the tort can dehydrate and dry out quickly....what type of substrate are you running in the enclosure? What type/size of uv ray bulbs are you using?
