Chris: I'm so, so very sorry. Its bad enough to lose one tortoise, but to have lost both of them...that's just hard.

I'm really sorry to hear that they passed. That is truly awful.
I am glad to hear that your considering a rescue, and that you found a good vet. I've been to two already with my little one, and am realizing that finding a good, experienced tort vet can be difficult.
