smallest tort?

so i was just courious, what is the smallest tortoise? or would it be a box turtle? and does it hybernate? or have to?
i have seen the real big ones, now i am curious about the little guys.

The Speckled tortoise, Homopus signatus is the smallest species of tortoise. They are adult at around 3 inches and females max out at 4 inches. They weigh between 75g and 100g. They don't hibernate.
All the other species in the genus Homopus are small tortoises also.

Danny have you ever seen any for sale in North America?

i asked this question a while ago, i was told there are a few people in the states who have them but finding them for sale is like impossible.

Yes I have seen them for sale in the states, but not for at least 10 years. I owned a male back in the 90's for about 5 years.

About 25 to 30 years on average.
