smallest tort?

so i was just courious, what is the smallest tortoise? or would it be a box turtle? and does it hybernate? or have to?
i have seen the real big ones, now i am curious about the little guys.

The Speckled tortoise, Homopus signatus is the smallest species of tortoise. They are adult at around 3 inches and females max out at 4 inches. They weigh between 75g and 100g. They don't hibernate.
All the other species in the genus Homopus are small tortoises also.

i asked this question a while ago, i was told there are a few people in the states who have them but finding them for sale is like impossible.

Yes I have seen them for sale in the states, but not for at least 10 years. I owned a male back in the 90's for about 5 years. :)
