I can't find Snap Dragons on any of the plant lists, does anyone know if they are toxic for my desert torts? And what about Primrose? I've seen it listed as ok for the torts but I've also seen it listed as toxic.

Both plants are considered toxic for humans as well as animals, however the blooms of the primrose are safe and edible. I assume this goes for tortoise as well!

I just checked my book and the blooms of snapdragons are considered edible as well. Hmmm, something I never knew!!

Okay...I've done some more searching determined not to give you false information. It is funny that there is so much information published on the subject of toxic plants and most of them contradict one another!! Here is an awesome link that may help http://www.anapsid.org/resources/plants.html Snapdragons are not listed in the safe or toxic lists so best be on the safe side with them. I have no personal experience feeding them to my torts, just gave the info I had. Hope this helps!!
