RE: So am I th eonly one disgusted by " Big Brother" not the show

My city forces me to pay for monthly trash service at my house or pay a $114 fee for NOT having trash service. I already have a paid dumpster at the ranch a mile away and just toss my trash in the back of my truck and haul it over there. I told them they couldn't force me to have service and they couldn't force me to pay for NOT having service and they informed that yes they could. I then asked for his address so I could send him a bill for NOT training his dog. OR he could hire me and pay my weekly rate to come train his dog. He said he didn't need a dog trainer, I said "EXACTLY!!!"
Strangely, the line went dead shortly after that.

I pay 35 for my monthly trash service kinda cheap I think, but my point is I have three trashcans one for trash, one for green waste and one for recyclables I never put out my other two and my trash one goes out once every other week, I guess I should just put all 3 out evry week so I can get my money's worth. When I was younger I remember having a dumpster for my family and one other and we were chraged on how much trash we made because we were charged per trash dump not on a weekly basis. I think this will cause people to start dumping just anywhere just to stick it to the city.

I recycle my own food waste to either composte or my variouos animals (goats, pigs, chickens, etc). I mulch mow, so no clippings to worry about. Any other yard waste is just taken care of by my animals or I burn it.

I recycle some, but most cardboard, paper, and wood products I just burn. I moved from Seattle, and then King Country (the county that includes Seattle - run by liberal hippie types who hate folks who live in the country and actually enjoy having a little property and drive big trucks...). So for now, I don't have to deal with all that "green" feel good gov't control junk...

Where i live... the council have been checking on bins for quite a few years now... if recycling is found in the rubbish bin... you get a warning... on the 3rd warning you get a £50 fine... i can't see a problem with it tbh... and it takes no extra time to dump the recycling in one bin and the rubbish in the other...

It boils down to freedom, your own right to chose. When your choices are taken away, your freedom is taken away. I believe 100% that anything or anyone who wants to limit your free agency, is fighting for the wrong side.

Ask your self these questions...
Does it takes away your choice?
Does it takes away your Freedom?
Does it takes away your responsibility?
Does it do some thing for you that you should be doing for your self?

If it does any of these things than it is very bad, It goes against every thing the Constitution stands for. Think about it!!! The United States is in big trouble when its citizens freely hand over their freedoms.

This is the same situation essentially as the red light cameras. They want you to believe it is all about safety and that warm fuzzy stuff folks just can't argue with... "well, who doesn't want interestions to be safter???" But it really is all about revenue and what they can stick you with and get away with it. Cities, counties, states, Feds, etc live off our money - they exist and thrive and grow as we feed them. They are experts at finding ways to take our money and grow themselves, while making us think it is for the 'greater good' and some warm fuzzy cause.

In our state, we have all kinds of smoking and drinking and gambling and other laws that seem 'good'... Yet the indian tribes who contribute major money to our electicted officials seem to benefit drastically because they can now operate casinos in cities all accross the state with no competition and not even a tax hit... Again, it is all about money...

I thought I read somewhere that those red light cameras increase accidents because people try and rush through them now, I will have to look that up.

There is a slight decrease in side impact collisions and a large increase in rear end collisions when ever one of these goes up. Of course, the government doesn't want you to know this.

The Goverment is not going away, and you and your peers have voted your represenitives into office. I know this is a ***** session to make us feel better (i hate judges for presonal reasons so I have a reason to ***** also) so everyone just get it off your chest. We still have the best Government in the world, and lead lives better then anywhere in the world. So when these really bad ideas do come up by our govn't, just be thankful you weren't born somewhere else. Jack
