F1E51F55-AD65-41B9-88AD-97171EB25AE5.jpeg Hello all. I’ve had Gerald and Piggie for about a month and half. I got them at 2wks old and read to soak them for at least 15-30 minutes daily. I’ve been doing their daily soaks and wondering how long do I continue the daily soaks before I can cut it down to three times a week. I guess what age should they be.

In general, I recommend daily soaks until they pass the 100 gram mark. At that size, I will start skipping days occasionally, depending on the weather and other factors. I've they were out in the sun for an hour or two getting dried out, I would soak them on the way back in. When they reach 1000 grams, two or three soaks a week should be enough. As adults, once or twice week. In general, I soak adults more often during our hot dry summers, and less often in winter. And all ages always have drinking water available.

I recommend soaking them individually so you can more closely monitor their GI tract activity.

Tortoises should never be kept in pairs. These two need separate enclosures ASAP.

In case you haven't seen these yet, I thought I'd leave them here for you:

Welcome to the forum @aejones .:)

As Tom said a daily soak in warm water for about 20 minute is fine. Please check the temperature of the water if it's cold back there.

Any pics of the enclosures? Please keep your torts separated : torts do not like company. :(

20 minute soaks are an absolute minimum. I prefer an hour...twice a day! Also, if you can add a third (and even a fourth) baby too that dynamic duo...there'll be no need to separate them. They look great!

Hi! I’ve noticed that you’ve commented on a couple of other people’s posts. Can you start your own thread? It will help to keep your info separate and not take away from the other people’s questions. I also saw that a couple people helped with answers on your other post.
