Soil with shrimp compost?

Can I use this mix as a substrate for Hermy:

mix bio soil that contains shrimps compost with sand? Would it be "clean" for her or would it contains too much germs?

ive heard from a pet store that anything it has too many germs and could get any reptile sick.....b careful!
