My husband and I recently visited our local zoo and I decided to start getting some photos of the many torts there. There are quite a few turtle species as well, so I'll have to return with a nicer camera in the spring when more of the animals are active. These are just from my crummy phone camera. Here's an angulate tortoise posing with an uromastyx:
On the right is a pancake tortoise hiding in the rock, on the left is the first one I've ever seen out basking. Must have been lunchtime.
The Indian star tortoises were so active they were hard to get a photo of. They were chasing each other quite a lot.
They did enjoy walking right up to the glass to say hi to me.
An Egyptian tortoise got stuck between some rocks while climbing around:
