Spider plants

Ok, so spider plants are an edible, but I have never seen them without a white stripe. Does anyone know if there are species of spider plant that are harmful?
These are plants I'm considering purchasing for Benny

I have never heard of a toxic spider plant. There are only different varieties. They are all okay.

There is green spider plants and the very gated ( with white stripe ) spider plants .
