Hello

Yesterday I went to the pet store to buy some non toxic acquarium sillicone to glue a sponge to one of Hermy's hide but they are out of stock. Does anyone know what kind of non toxic glue can I use?

Thanks :D

You should be able to use any non water soluble glue to attach the sponge Isa. :D

You should be able to find silicone at Home Depot. :D

Yes they have aquarium silicone at Home Depot, lowes and you could use a hot glue gun too.-Doesn't last as long but it works.

I didn't glue mine, but instead drilled a hole through the hide and stuck l long bolt through. Then I pushed the sponge onto the bolt and secured with a washer and nut. This way I can easily change the sponge when needed. This works really well and no glue!

I'm sorry, but why are you putting a sponge in? I've never heard of that before. Is it for humidity?

Kayti, Yes it is for humidity. Some people use damp moss instead of a sponge. Now the thinging is that humidity has a part to play in pyramiding. So offering a humid hide helps stop pyramiding.

I just learned that! I've been using paper towels, but they dry out incredibly fast. Do sponges last longer?
And aren't there nasty chemicals in sponges?
Thanks!
