Spurs on sulcatas legs

Does anyone know what the spurs on sulcatas legs are? Are they bone? I'm just curious .my husband asked me and I was stumped! Lol,, your on the forum all the time and you don't know??!! Lol

They are a type of scale made from keratin and formed from the layers of skin.

That is a good question. If I had to guess I'd say some type of cartilage.
