I thought my tortoise has quite yellow radiating lines on the shell, so as the skin.
Could this be more towards a Sri Lankan than an Indian Star?

Really it's impossible to know for sure. But just from the smoothness of the shell it looks like you have mainland indian star tortoises, not sri lankans.

Looks like a southern indian star. But like Neal said-it's impossible to know for sure unless you know the lineage.

Though sri lankans tend to be pyramided, there are smooth ones out there. I have seen photos of smooth sri lankans. De Silva wrote a book on sri lankan star tortoises...I used to have it but sold it. Great book and it showed sri lankans that were pyramided and smooth in the wild. I believe I read that sri lankans near the coast tend to be smoother, while sri lankans that are located in the drier regions tend to be more pyramided. Don't quote me though. I have been tempted to get a group together just to try to raise them up with smooth shells
