She is a hatchling about the size of a golf ball. She is right now in a sealed 75 gallon tank with two hides. All heat and humidity are controlled with thermostat and whatever the humidity version is called. Lol

She arrived yesterday and went right to soak. We finally have a humid enough day and some heat today so she got to graze, under constant watching by me, outside in the yard.

Today she has grazed and soaked (pooped in her tub) and is now eating Mazuri and greens.

Attached are some pictures.

Congrats on a good looking tortoise!

Thank you. I was very nervous cause I got her from Arizona Tortoise Compound because they referenced this forum for care and proper husbandry and then some of the well known posters said this guy isn’t the greatest. Anyway she is great so far and the guy answered all my questions the right way so I guess stay tuned.

What a cool looking baby! I didn’t realize how many different tortoises there where until I joined this forum... now I can’t wait to see the next pic posted!

I love your little star tortoise!! Congrats

I want to give you a thread to read. If you haven't already.

https://tortoiseforum.org/threads/how-to-raise-a-healthy-star-tortoise.159167/

It was most helpful for me. *smile* Hope your beautiful baby star will thrive!!

Oh yes I have read that. I also have a juvunile Sulcata that's now about 600 grams in his own custom built home. Yes they live completely separate and only see each other when soaking in their own bins next to each other (not same bin but my Sulcata loves to stretch to see her over the edge of his bin). LOL

Thank you btw
