Our little tortoise is now pretty big and we need to get him a larger enclosure. 24" x 36" min. I was considering getting the Zoo Med Tortoise enclosure, but read mixed reviews here. Anyone have any luck with it? Or other suggestions?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Those enclosures are way too small for any tortoise. Especially an adult.

There’s no big enough enclosure that you can buy. My suggestion is to build your own or for an indoor enclosure, take a bookshelf and take the shelves out.

Adding to this. Even a bookshelf 6ft and more is not going to be all that easy to find at a reasonable price. Yeah sometimes you'll get lucky and find a decent one off a garage sale or on the side of the street but you'll still be spending money, time, and labor to fix all that stuff up.

This is usually why the building your own advice is so highly recommended. It's simpler to just get one built from say the cheapest lumber source and a waterproof tarp. The end result will usually look better in a home than say a renovated bookshelf or stock pond.

At 7" BJ is big enough to now live outside during the day. You can put up some cinderblocks, that's a quick and easy enclosure:

Or build something out of wood:

The sky's the limit. But it's generally pretty hard to make something big enough for a full grown tortoise to live in the house.
