Suitable substrate for Hermanns...

I'm looking to maybe change the substrate in Peaches' tank. What suitable stuff is there? The stuff I have in there is just a soil mix I got in a local reptile store... It just looks really dull and boring though! Are wood chips safe? She likes to burrow so would need a suitable burrowing sub...
