I euthanise and pickle stuff like that, I don't keep them alive; the quality of life would be terrible.

True, if you knew it wouldn't suffer it would be interesting to see if it's heart would hold up to being an adult.

Two things holy tort, and you sure those aren't just dusty aldabras (probably spelled wrong).

Here are three more males. I set a Coke can for size reference.

I'm sure it's been asked but are these hatchlings ever available to the average joe?

Hi,
Thanks!
I make my own in bulk. I've been doing this for about the last 10-12 years or so. It is given to the animals that live outdoors three times per week.

I have a formula for D3 and calcium carbonate professionally mixed in bulk, this I put with food grade dicalcium phoshpate, the vitamins, trace min salts and blend these together myself in about twenty lb batches.

It's no wonder you created these giants. I don't think that it was so much being descendants from Sudan, as it was the food and care you've provided. The average sully owner, like me, could never make the stuff you mix; if we could, we'd have giants too. Btw, you never mentioned if you sell any of your specimens. Do you breed to sell, or do you just study them?

These are such beautiful animals! It's so refreshing to see sulcatas kept OUTDOORS and with nice dusty shells and no pyramiding! You obviously know what you're doing.

Hi Brad,

Cool set of photos!

What would be your guess as to how many days a year they are active and eating?

Do you use the D3 enrichment for the outdoor animals?

Thanks for the fun tour of your animals.

Will
