Hey! I’ve had my sulcata tortoise for 8 months now and this is what his enclosure looks like. I was looking for any advice or tips on keeping his enclosure humid. He has some pyramiding and im looking for advice to correct the cause of it. Thanks!

The only way is with a closed chamber. The humidity in an open topped tub is at the mercy of the conditions in the room. Be sure to do daily soaks for at least 30 minutes. Along with the closed chamber, this will go a long way to reducing the pyramiding of new growth.

It looks like your fluorescent light is too high (if that's the long black thing in the back).

It really depends, if it's a 10.0 or 12.0 UV bulb, this will most likely be too much UV at 12". If it's a 10.0 or 12.0, then about 22-24" might be closer to what you need.
There is actually no way to tell the proper height to set a UV bulb without a UV meter such as a Solarmeter 6.5R.
