Sulcata greenhouse remodel

2 years ago we took in a foster sulcata. We built a night box in the back of an existing greenhouse.

This worked, but winter is very cold here. He was stuck in the box too much. The greenhouse cannot be kept warm enough. As he is ours now, we needed something better for him.
I didn't want to insulate the whole thing. Spring and fall it is really nice. Also didn't want a heat box in the summer. So we made the box the entire bottom of the greenhouse. We built barn style door top.
First we removed the existing walls, leaving the top on the back.

This section of the top is fixed. It will have a recessed light in it. The back does as well.

Looks good :) he will be able to stretch his legs more in the winter. And you used an already existing area, I think your backyard is beginning to get full of tortoises!

That is true. Very full.
Looks good :) he will be able to stretch his legs more in the winter. And you used an already existing area, I think your backyard is beginning to get full of tortoises!
