I am a new member and am taking care of a Sulcatta Tortoise for someone and this is my first experience with one. I live in Illinois so now that it is warm out and dandelions out I get him out and he eats dandelions constantly while out there. He is 6 yrs old and weighs about 20 lbs is it ok for him to eat as many as he likes? He also likes clover and grass and eats that too.

Welcome to our Forum, Cathyjo!

A variety of different weeds and grasses is always good.

Seeing he's eating the other stuff, grass clover and anything else that might be mixed in along with the dandelions it should be fine. If you were to be keeping him then I would suggest buying more weed seeds and planting them. However, seeing your just watching him for someone what you have is fine. You can always add some grocery greens to his diet for a bigger variety.
