Hello,

I have some questions about my adult sulcatas in this really cold New Mexico winter.

We have them in an insulated house with UVB/Heated lighting with access to food and water.

I have not seen them eat or drink for a few weeks now and they are very inactive....

I am wanting to know how other sulcatas behavior is in cold winters. Do your eat/drink? are they active? are they still alive!

If we build a larger home, with windows as the roof maybe, with they move around more in the winter?

In the summer they explore/eat/and drink till sunset.

Right now the outside day temp in in the 40's-50's and night get to 20's-30's!

Thanks!

I have 3 sulcatas from 11 inch to 15 inch also in a outside heated shed they come out everyday. Temps in the 30's below that I leave them in but they push on door all day to come out, and are eating like pigs. Temps in box are 101 (under light) 86 cool side daytime and 70 to 76at night.

What are the temperatures in your insulated house?
Do they have a hotter basking area to warm up as if it were the sun?
What are you using for UV in something that size?

My largest, Bowser, slowed down a little bit, but nothing like that. He still eats a ton and likes to walk around a good bit. But he "runs" in the summer when its in the mid to high 90s.
