Hello,
My name is Shannon. I go by Sagewomyn.
I have a 100 LB. Plus 22 year old male Sulcuta.
He will be be outside. He has a box about 6 x 8 x 4. What is best, wall or pad. I want to make sure Rain is taken care of.

Heating pad on the floor with a radiant heat panel on ceiling above the pad.
Can't use pad without heat above it or the tort can stay on the pad too long trying to get its carapace/top shell warm.
Also must have room for him to still be on the hide but away from the heat.

Also, I'm concerned about the low temperature 🌡 in the high 50's at night. Does he need the heater right away?

Yes, they should not be kept in temps lower then 80

Tom , ok didnt know about a space off the pads but still in the hide 9a larger hide then).. Thanks Vince

Hello Tammy. I have only had him since August. In his picture he looked small. When he got here from Anaheim I couldn't believe how big he was. I literally almost lost my breath. I asked myself, what do I do with a guy this huge. My son is busy today insulating his box.
