Good morning all,
I generally think that I feed Darwin pretty well.
He gets greens every day, and then most days some fruit or veggies chopped up on top, with occasional animal protein; all based off lists and info found here. 2-4 times a week, he get 2-3 pieces of Mazuri kibble, softened with warm water.
Based on what I have read here, it's likely that I don't need to supplement with extra calcium and vitamins, but I do ...
Twice a week, I shake a bit of each of the powders into the tiny mason jar I use to hydrate the Mazuri pellets, run just a bit of hot water into the jar, and swish everything around/together ... the mixture is absorbed into the pellets as they hydrate, and Darwin eats them.
My question is:
Am I running the risk of over-supplementing Darwin, or would he likely just poop out any extra nutrients?
I use both of these powder to dust crickets and pinkies for my marine toad, Beulah, anyway, so if it'd be better for me to skip their use with Darwin, it's not like they'd just sit there unused.
Thanks,
Jamie
