My wife is growing sweet potatoes and they have a huge amount of leaves. We read they are edible for humans, but are they ok for a marginated tort?
Just wondering. Always looking to add a variety to her diet.
Thanks in advance guys !

Think I got my answer. Tortoise table says not to feed torts leaves or vines.

TheTortoiseTable takes a Goldilocks approach most of the time and I think it renders the site useless in many ways. A poor Ca: P ratio shouldn't exclude a food completely. If all your foods had a poor ratio, then there'd be a problem. Occasionally, for variety I don't see a reason not to feed.

I always throw mellon seed/pulp out in the garden for the birds/squirrels and always end up with few vines growing out of it. Not a sweet potato but also a vine My babies occasionally nibble on the leves and love the flowers. I've not been aware of it being a "no-no" for torts.
