My russian tortoises has been outside during the days for 3 days since it has ben above 20 degrees celcius. However, today the temperature dropped to somewhere betvee 6-7 degrees celcois befor I took them inside (which was a big mistake from my side!). The young ones (around 50 grams each) were digged down in the soil while the adults were not. Do I need to be worried about this? I am. This temperature drop might not be healthy for them or am I just worried without a reason? Its mid night where I live but I cant sleep due to this... I just turned on the heat lamps in their inside enclosure so they can choose to get warm even though the lamps normally should be turnes of now.

TIA

Russian tortoises are pretty cold-hardy. I wouldn't worry about that.

Welcome!

Thank you. I will let them stay inside for some days and keep an extra eye om them just to make sure they did not get harmed from this. Worried about pnemonia and such...

One cold spell shouldn't harm them as long as they can warm up the next day. I agree with Yvonne.
