Of course, your best bet for travel information would be the Highway Patrol, Airlines, etc. but I've started this thread for first hand information from our members. If you know what's happening on the highways and airlines, pleas feel free to post it here.

I hope you all stay safe this holiday season. I don't know how safe train travel is, but seems it would be a whole lot safer than flying or driving.

My 'first hand' tidbit would be for those traveling on the highways in the Central Valley of California. We've had our first rainfall of the season, this means the asphalt on the streets is very slippery. It's better to arrive a little late than not at all. Drive safe and don't speed.

IN VA we use the avoid plan- I-95 feeds the North/South for the eastern seabord. It is stupid around major holidays. I drove the city streets to work today and had to going twice as fast at 40 mph as I-95 was going!
