The beginning of something bad?

I’ve had my Redfooted tortoise for about two days now. he was born in February I was wondering if this is the beginning of shell rot shell fungus

Oh haha! Im pretty new to this so i apologize. Here is the picture

It might be. Hard to tell by looking at a picture and not seeing the animal in real life. Are you keeping it on WET substrate? The substrate should be sort of dry on top, but moist under the top layer.

Yeah, its dry, but humid enough in its enclosure so he wont dry out

I was looking at the little grey spots on either side of the mid-line above the back legs.
