1. Takes for ever to wash
2. No matter how much you brush it, it will always knot
3. Young boys with long hair are commonly mistaken for girls
4. When it’s -2 degrees outside and you have wet hair it feels terrible
5. It gets in your face when it’s windy.

Can't help always had short hair.
The longest hair in my house was my Persians or Pomeranian. Lots of daily brushing helped with them.

I love long hair...as long as it is kept up.

I love long hair...as long as it is kept up.

I love it too but it can get annoying. At my age, it’s something “unique”. Everyone else has short hair.

Well , I keep my tort room at 90 degrees ! And I keep my hair in a pony tail .

And your 11 , I’m 63 and I have Leopards , Herrmans,Marginals, Russians , Greeks, Egyptians, Box turtles , and my AZ Desert torts . But you have a few more years to go.

Hi Mickey:

I have shoulder-length hair. I hate that it gets in my face when I bend down to administer to the outside tortoises. So I keep it pinned up all the time.

9. Wraps around the brush on the vacuum cleaner and is hard to get off
10. easier to see sheds all over the house than short hair

I'll be cutting mine pretty short come spring when I no longer need it to keep my ears warm!

11. Long hair gets tangled much worse than short hair.
12. Road trips in a convertible can be miserable if you don't have a good ponytail holder. The tangles just aren't worth it, even in Florida.

It won't be the last time you hear something like that. Every lab class you take, anything requiring a sterile environment, anything with fire or machinery... Just get used to putting extra ponytail holders in with pretty much everything.
