~Thinking about soil again...help?~

So im thinking about goint to soil again but last time it got sloppy from trying to keep the humidity up any ideas how to keep the humidity up without wetting it through also how would i keep soil out of the waterbowl?

If you dont want to wet the soil you may have to use something like a reptifogger or something similar to help get the humidity up.

I put a thick layer of mulch over the soil, you get the benefit of the moist soil without the mess the soil can make, in time the tortoises can mix them together by digging into the mulch, Depending on the size of the tortoise plays a role on how thick the mulch is.Len
