Hi,
Today I have become the proud owner of the little fella below.
The beak and claws need a little attention but otherwise seems bright and alert and had a good, long soak tonight. This little guy was being kept on a dry substrate with too small a water dish so I've given him a nice deep soil to bury in and a large "pool" in a six foot enclosure. I'll keep him inside for a while to make sure he's ok.
I was told the turtle is a male three toed, the toes add up
I was wondering if anyone could confirm its a male? I'm fairly confident but I must admit, I was expecting more reds and orange colouration around the head and front legs. A bit of reading and web surfing this evening and I've uncovered some pictures of males with yellow and white markings.
Thanks from a very happy Dave.
