Status: Hot humid hazy August! Daily temperatures continue to remain in high 90's with this back weekend over the century mark again. Plenty of fresh hibiscus and rose of sharon in the garden. Sully mostly active in early mornings and evenings. Been taking him out for long garden strolls in the afternoons.

Last three or four days here in Maryland we have recorded temps over the century mark with equal levels of humidity. Our Sully comes out of his shed early for a snack then returns for a nice cool sleep 'til the late afternoon. Then, maybe a soak, a walk, followed by a full evening meal of Rose of Sharon, various grasses, dandelion greens, kale, maybe some romaine and a cactus pad AND some mazuri for a light snack.Here he is soaking, and snacking on rose of sharon flowers..27 lbs for a two year old...i must be doing something right! Hats off again to @Lancecham for a great Sully hatchling...cute imperfect scutes and all!

Wonderful pic. Sully looks so relaxed in the water tub. You continue to do a great job with him.

....and a close up look at Sully's scaly head! The brownish hue is from burrowing down in his peatmoss substrate.

You refer to Sully as him, are you sure Sully is male ? Looks girlish to me, but I'm no sexing expert though. Time will tell.
Hey Len, you are correct. Still not yet determined our Sully's sex yet, so we have always referred to our Sully as a him!
