Ticks?

Have any of you found ticks on your tortoises? I live in south Florida and my redfoot lives outdoors full time. I recently came across a photo of a snake covered in ticks and now I'm worried that my own little reptile could be at risk!! Are ticks something I should be concerned about?

Torts can get some ticks...usually on the fleshy smooth parts of their neck/legs---if you have dogs and they get ticks then your tort is also at risk....just give the once over from time to time....

Most tick species are pretty host specific. While it is physically possible for your tortoise to get a tick, it is not likely.

Thank you for your replies! We do have dogs and although she's never around them, I'll check her when I get home for spring break.
