Hey guys, my tortoise name is Todd. he is about 2 years old. I went to Montana to visit my mom for a little while so my dad was taking care of him but he did great! He have gotten so big sense the last time i saw him which was four months ago. He have been feeding todd hale, romaine lettuce, and squash. Is there anything else we could feed him? and he seems to eat like 3 meals aday. Is there such a thing as over feeding your tortoise or do they know when to stop eating?! I hope to get a lot of responses!!
Thanks guys:)

dark leafy greens and weeds.. small amount of squash, limit the romaine.

You can offer romaine, red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce, raddicio (I know I spelled it wrong, Yvonne spells it right...lol) endive, spring mix salad...dandelion greens, just the ones that came to mind ....others will have more to offer...:D

I use this food chart (obviously ignore the insects) to determine what fruits and veggies are safe to feed and what are dangerous. It helps immensely. Though best to stick to dark greens, grasses, and weeds this will let you know what else you can add for variety.

I know it's for bearded dragons but the nutrition content of the veggies still applies to torts.

Weeds, and more weeds. I mix "shake" (the stuff dropped off from hay bells that is light and not too hard to munch on) that I get for free from the Feedstore to mix into my soaked mazuri two times a week. I use these websites as great references when choosing what to get.

You've been given all the food info you need. I would add the Mazuri to his diet, but feeding it only once or twice a week is recommended. Go with as much weeds, plants and grasses as possible. He looks great.

It's a sulcata. It's needs lots of grass too. The other stuff is all good, but at least half the diet should be grass. Grow your own or scavenge it. I use pasture mixes from "Peaceful Valley Farms".

Grocery store food is okay if you can't get anything else, but it's not the best. If you must use grocery store food, add some "Salad Style" to it for fiber. I got mine from Tyler at tortoisesupply.com.

Didn't you know that what you have is an "eating machine?" :) While he looks great, I can't help but notice that the middle scute lines are someone separated. Maybe I'm just not seeing a good picture, but sometimes, when that happens, it's because the uvb or heat bulbs are too close to his shell. Make sure the bulbs are at least 10" from the top of his shell.

Sibi ... What is this you are referring to? I am curious as to what you see, what you mean...
