How much food is too much? I've got a baby hermanns that is only a few months old, currently he's getting fed twice a day, I let him eat until he wanders off and then remove the dish. Is this too much? Should I cut down to as much as it wants one feeding per day?

I only feed babies once a day, but I leave the dish in there all day long. They'll come back out and eat from the dish several more times throughout the day. The food dries out but they still eat it.

I had originally been doing that but with a flat food dish he tracks the food everywhere and then it just gets mixed into the substrate so I purchased one with a slight lip on it to keep the food in but he some how manages to end up on his back two or three times a day if that dish is in his enclosure. So I started just offering him food twice a day and he seems to be doing good.

Yes leave the food in there all day long...looks all dried by the end of the day, but still food to them.
