Hi,

My two Testudo Hermanni tortoises have beaks that are getting rather long. One is longer than the other. They are fed food that is reasonable hard and they eat from a piece of slate. They sometimes get some soft food (Tomatoes etc...).

I have attached a picture. We may take them to the vet and get their beaks trimmed.

Hi...I would strongly suggest you ask your folks to give you and your torts a ride to the vet to have those really overgrown beaks trimmed/filed down...and while the vet is doing it you pay attention and watch so you will have idea how to do it....what do you normally feed them...do you have a uvb light in their enclosure (need a new one every 6 months or so) do they get outside natural sun time? :D

Do they still eat with beaks like that?
