Tortoise eating, but not pooping

My Russian tortoise (who is 1 year old) is eating , drinking and peeing everyday. I bathe him for 10min every day, his diet is mostly weeds and some romaine lettuce. A few days ago I gave him pepper ( not the spicy one ) is this the problem? And what should I do?

Sometimes when a tortoise has trouble pooping it's because he's not well hydrated. Maybe 10 minutes isn't long enough to soak your baby. Try leaving him in the soaking tub for a half hour. If you use a tub small enough, and yet with tall sides so he can't climb out, you can set the tub back into his enclosure to keep it warm for the half hour.

I think if you soak him long enough he will eventually poop.

Thanks, I left him in his bath for longer, he pooped! We’re celebrating by putting him his 7fx9f outdoor enclosure today! Thanks again.
