Tortoise isn’t coming out of hide for food?

My Speke’s hinge-back tortoise eats every morning, and I wake up every day to find him out of his hide and ready to eat. Yesterday, he wasn’t out like usual. I still put his food in his trey and I think he ate about half of it, which is unusual. Today he’s hiding again.
I know low appetite can be a sign of infection or illness.

Nothing has changed in the past few days at all, so I don’t think it has to do with a routine change or anything.

Background info:
He lives in an indoor terrarium with a UV/heat lamp and a heating pad underneath for a basking area. He had a hide which he loves to sleep in, a large water trey that he sometimes soaks in, and a food trey. He has much-like substrate underneath.
I just got him a few months ago and I love him a lot!

Thank you In advance!

I wouldn't change anything at this point. Just watch him and see if anything changes. He could just be having an off week.

He’s been doing a lot better. I interacted with him a lot yesterday (gave him an extra long
Bath and took him out side). He has an overhead UV/heat lamp as well as the heating tablet/pad underneath the terrarium
