Hey yall, I have 2 babies and 1 maybe 1 year old. I bought them from a sketch person. I didn't know they were going to be very sketch until I went to pick them up. My friend's cousin(who also owns a tortoise) is friends with them sho I figured they were good. I was wrong. I bought the 1 year old (Gary) sick and very lethargic. The middle one (no name yet, still getting a feel of their personality) is lethargic, as well. But the baby (Rozay) is very active. I bought them and left them with my friend, who is also a tortoise owner. Gary came back from the dead while in their care. He's active and eats now. Still lethargic but definitely better than before. I've had them in my care for about a week now. I've noticed that the 2 are lethargic and Gary has a RI. I know Gary has an infection because he makes gargling noises and I seen him make a bubble out his mouth or nose while eating. I don't see any mucus on his nose or mouth but he does have a tiny patch on his nostrils and puffy eyes. I also assume he is overweight as he doesn't fit in his shell all the way and he definitely looks bloated compared to the other two. No Name is active for about 2 hours and eats well then goes to sleep, same as Gary. I haven't taken them to the vet as I've just noticed all of this. I discovered this forum yesterday. I need help on taking care of them. I read the pet store starter kits are stupid but that's what I bought. The store told me the tank doesn't need humidity as I have desert tortoises but I don't even know what kind of tortoises I have! I'll post pics of them. I've been listening to the pet store about most info of general care, but this forum says different. I'm so confused now. Also, can anyone help me identify what kind of tortoises I have? The seller said desert but I don't know for sure. My friend has a Sonoran desert tortoise but mine doesn't look like theirs, in my opinion.
