Google BiophiliaI sure hope he was only collecting those that had already died. If not, he should be shot if hes not already dead!
I did just that! It certainly doesn't seem like someone associated with this would harm an animal.Google Biophilia
I was first introduced to his work through Pheromone and was upset by it until I educated myself on what he was doing.I did just that! It certainly doesn't seem like someone associated with this would harm an animal.
I also googled the artist. This is what was said about him and his book.

Chasen, thanks for posting this. I had never heard the term before.
They are not aliveThe ones in the picture look to be alive. I’m seeing lots of heads and tails.

I agree that these look like live tortoises and turtles ... I struggle to get to pose for my pictures, and am wondering how this artist managed with this design and huge array of beasts.

You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but there's absolutely nothing cruel about it. Have you read up on this or just basing your opinion on a photograph? And since this is your opinion, do insects not rate? For heavens sake , stick to insects . This smacks of animal cruelty. As well as not being beautiful. How about some acrylics?
