Hah, looks like even when initially compatible, even tortoises can change their mind!

Really interesting when you think about it. I wonder how often they would change mates if offered unlimited choice?

I expect it's the same with Aldabras as any other tortoise species: 1 male + 1 female = the female getting wa-a-a-a-ay more "attention" than she wants...

If there were 2-3 females in the enclosure, and the enclosure was roomier, things might be harmoniuos again.
