My wife and I went to CR a couple year ago--Cloud Forests, Arenal area, Manuel Antonio areas. Loved it. Now we would like to do some sea turtle viewing and I thought I'd sneak in some Tarpon fishing.
This is what I am thinking--Tortuga Lodge and Gardens for a couple nights and visit Tortuguero National Park for the Green Turtles and then Ostional National Park on the Pacific coast for a day or so (maybe stay at Hotel Luna Azul) for the Green Ridleys.

I figure August as the best month to do this. And what I understand it is best in the last quarter of the full moon.

Maybe spend another couple nights on a nice resort on the Pacific?

Any advice, comments? Thanks!

The Ostional Wildlife Refuge in Costa Rica is famous for the mass nestings of olive ridley turtles known as arribadas. In 1995 a record of around 500 000 females nested in one night at this park.

By the way, take PLENTY of photos. :D
