Everywhere I look, online and in stores, orchid bark mulch always has some color added to it. I wouldn't use those cus added colors are toxic if it's used for a substrate.

Where in Canada or the west coast can I find small or medium size bark mulch that's completely free of chemicals and added colors? An online suggestion might have to do, tho shipping might be expensive.

I don't want to buy the repti bark 24quart as its way over priced. I know I can buy like 3x that amount for less.

Is this one a good option?

I'm just not sure if that one is free of chemicals and added colors.

that looks fine to me, orchid bark is pretty sensitive when it comes to chemicals so i think any "organic" bark should be fine. although the bark (from the link) pieces look a bit big, it should be okay if your tortoise is a juvenile or adult. fine grade orchid bark is probably your best choice if you have a hatchling.
