Urgent help needed! (Shell rot then escaped)

Looking at pics it looks like a bite. Enclose you cover open wounds with cream to avoid a fly laying eggs and you get maggots etc........I would wash in a high sided container in shallow warm water daily and gently go over with a small toothbrush to help remove any debris. Good luck and keep your tort safe as he has been through the wars and will be very scared.

My thoughts are that even if the vet was wrong and it is shell rot and/or SCUD that the antibiotics would help with that too. So whatever the issue is I think the antibiotics will clear it either way.
