    I would love to rehome box turtles. I live in mobile al and if u r not close i would pay for overnighting them to me. I have a great indoor and outdoor area for them plus fresh nongmo fruits, veggies and weeds/grass. 251-209-0530.

    Just be sure you are dealing with well known members here . Some people look for free tortoises to make a buck . The last thing you want is your beloved animals to go to a animal flipper . Not saying anyone that asked to take them in is an animal flipper . Just get to know them better.

    I live in Atlanta but am moving to an apartment at school where I can't have my three box turtles. I have had them for 15 years. Please advise!

    I'm also in Atlanta. You cannot rehome them in GA unless they are Ornate box turtles. All other subspecies of box turtles are illegal to own in GA.

    Maybe try calling the DNR and see if they can provide you any options of what you can do with them.

    PM sent. I would think the best option would be to rehome them to a permitted facility. I also live in Georgia and am familiar with the rules/laws.
