So I have been reading up our new friend Shelly (here on the forum LOVE IT!!), we have had her for a month and she has some pyramiding. she lives outside in some very big bushes. I had my husband adjust the sprinkers in the bushes to come on 3 times per day so it stays pretty wet in her little house. I tried soaking her (Turtle Soup) in a big tub but she hated it, she just wandered and scratched to get out, then went right home (mad at me). So... I have been turning on the the sprinkler in a depressed area of the yard and putting her in it, she loves it and goes there on her own now! (I guess she just didn't like the tub) so here she is voluntarily making "Turtle Soup".

I hope that this daily routine, plus her moist home will stop the Pyramiding an keep her healthy and happy, not to mention cooler we live in Arizona. Thanks to all of you, I have learned sooo much!

I love seeing pics of wet sulcatas. Awesome.

Don't you worry about that pyramiding. It will smooth out in time and its only cosmetic. Just keep doing what you are doing.
