wahhh! what is this? (white spaces between scutes)

its worrying me. Theres odd whiteness growing between lulus scutes on the right side of her shell? I dont know what it is..shes my first tortoise and acts completely normal...eats normal..overall acts perfectly tortoise like. I dust her food 3 times a week with calcium and soak her as well.
What should i do to correct this? (if it is somthing bad) thank you

it's normal growth!! good job! new growth on Russians comes in lighter but darkens up over time...at least that's what I've noticed with mine :)

Oh my goodness, you should indeed be worried! :D Just kidding, that is new growth like you were already told. Which means, your doing things right~ Good for you!!

ive had her about 5 months and i didnt know you could see it when they grow!..cool :]

Pleased you asked on the forum-horrible to be worrying
There always seems to be new exciting things to learn about tortoises regardless of anyone's experience etc.

thanks! that makes me really happy to hear..it just looked odd to me, ive never had a tortoise before and ive never read anything about what the new growth looks like. and ooohh does she have an appetite..all greens...sometimes veg...never fruit and lotsa room to move around :]
