Hey guys!
So Apollo is slumbering away under his basking light. His food is all gone. He ate the whole thing today! Unexpected. Think he is getting ready for a growth spurt. On the note of all-eaten-food, I decided that I better look into some live plants that can always be available for the little eating machine. I found some things around the house that have been cleaned and de-fertilized for about 7 months, and I would like to move them into the tank. But I don't know if they are safe!

The first plant is called a 'money tree'
The second plant is Ivy.

Are they safe for the tortoise? Thanks!

1: Money Tree

The money tree plant (Pachira aquatica) is safe for animals.

If the ivy is English ivy, then it contains Triterpenoid saponins (hederagenin) and causes Vomiting, abdominal pain, hypersalivation, diarrhea in mammals. Foliage is more toxic than berries.

Thanks! The Ivy is English Ivy, so that guy is staying out. I will try to plant the money tree in there if it will fit.
