Raising the wall the wall tomorrow. It's 25 cents a brick. Worth the money, verses me in the rain freaked out I lost Kiwi. I will post a picture of her soon. I really think she is doing much better since I leave her outside. I worry about leaving her outside at night, but she seems to find a place to curl up. Should I bring her in at night? Again I apologize for all the questions, just a worried mom.
Do you have raccoons? She should have somewhere predator safe at night

Where do you get your soil? The more I read I am scared to use soil. My partner is talking about tearing out the bushes and making the whole area better for Kiwi. We have had the area for butterflies, so now he wants to make it butterflies and for the tortoise. Any suggestions on what to plant? I apologize for all the questions. I want to make an oasis for her.
Just plant your new plants in your existing soil.
I'm sure it's not all sand and rocks like mine.

I "took care of" my raccoon situation.
But they can be a serious issue.
Six inches is pretty small to be left outside unsecured.
Unless you are in the suburbs and have little to no predators. Including Raccoons and ESPECIALLY dogs.

That is what worries me. South Florida has raccoons. I also have a ferral cat I take care of. The cat I don't worry to much he's fat and lazy. The cat also has no interest in the tortoise, he just sleeps here and eats .

I’m from New Jersey, sounds like the Raccoons are sleeping with the fishes. I don’t want to know…lol

So I should bring her in at night? The aquarium is only 24 x 12

Meant to say funny I named the tortoise but not the cat. The cat is just a want to chill cat. He hates being outdoors, wants to come in. I am allergic to cats, otherwise I would.

No dogs. I don't think a problem with racoons, but it worries me. Raccoons are a big thing in South Florida. I leave my patio open for the cat.
Cats have never harmed my tortoises.
Raccoons will eat or carry off anything they can.
Neighborhood dogs. Family dogs. Nice dogs. Mean dogs. Any dogs, see tortoises as chew toys.
They're the #1 issue and you have no fence.

I will keep bringing her in every evening. I shouldn't feel bad how small the aquarium is, since it is just for sleeping?

Her is her enjoying my mister and hiding places.

Here is an update on Kiwi. I have a vet appointment Monday the 19th. I have raised the wall and secured her area. Added reptile mulch, cypress, from the pet store. I mist her area for 30 minutes every morning. She now comes to me when I call her. Are blueberries really bad for them? She absolutely loves them. Here are a couple pictures.

Any advice is welcome!!!

Oh yes I almost forgot. I boiled her a shrimp last night. She was very happy this morning.

Thank you again for all the help.

I'd take the tail off that shrimp next time you feed them that, just in case. My tort loves shrimp and papaya, but I'd say her favs are mango, tuna, boiled chicken, butternut squash, cactus fruit when in season, clover and arugula. just remember, everything in moderation. blueberries are fine, but once in a while like everything else. varied diet is best.
