So I wanted to share with all of you my little corner of the world. Guess this is as good a place to put it as anyplace. My Greenhouse in summer and winter.

We haven't done much growing for Alice as we haven't had her very long. I also have 2 veggie gardens which I may set the smaller one aside for Alice this next year. I have many freezers and a wonderful pantry that I can or dehydrate can things for her. 20121115_092422.jpg

The above 5 pictures are of our back veggie garden. It's about 50 X 60. This next year I hope to put in things that Alice can chomp on. For the summer or for me to freeze, dehydrate or can for her in the next winter.

We also love to make flower gardens. We were on a garden tour last year for our county. It was very nice.

That's what all my friends say. If they lose electric for an extended length of time they all know they are welcome with some of their freezer foods.... I have 2 generators. One for the greenhouse and one for the house... If I have extra food that I can not use or preserve I usually share it with my friends. One year I had 700 bell peppers. LOL

I have chickens.. I have a little business. I call my customers on Wednesday and deliver on Thursday morning to afternoon every week. I take them right to their houses like the milkman in the olden days. LOL20151009_080648.jpg

I like this chit chat thingie... I have been having trouble getting used to this place for it's so big and such a different format than I am used to.

So here is a sampling of our flower gardens from years past.

For the past 4 years we have been letting it go down to 65 degrees. Saves on fuel. We used to keep it up to 75 degrees in the winter. I loved going into the greenhouse when there was 2 feet of snow piled up and around the foundation and over the yard. It was cozy in there. Now you want to keep your coat on... Not good for Alice that's for sure.

Wow, I am impressed. I would love a much smaller version of your type of land. Thanks for sharing.

This is Annabelle Leigh in our back building watching over our property for the winter. She tells me all about it in the spring. LOL
