No not one of the humans, today is the day 3 years ago that Nank became a part of my life! It's his 3rd adopt-a-versary/8th birthday!
As most of you know, this guy is a huge part of my life, actually one of the only reasons I'm still around today. I got him at one of the lowest points in my life, I was so depressed my parents had a little intervention because I was hardly leaving bed. All I remember is crying and saying I wanted a tortoise, wanted a pet to call mine, one I had to wake up to wake up, feed and clean, one that would live a long time and be a huge part of my life. One who I could talk to about anything and everything knowing he wouldn't rat me out. And then soon after, exactly 3 years ago today, I brought him home. I didn't exactly have permission, my parents only ever said "we'll think about it" so they were quite surprised and unhappy when I came home with him. But they've come to love him, know how much he means to me, how much he's helped me. And of course because of him I met all my friends on here.
Here's some shots of our 3 years, starting with the first day, when if I looked at him wrong he'd have an "accident".
As time went on he became my partner in crime, a friend to snuggle with.
And of course always kept me smiling with his antics
Here's to many decades more!
